into the Bosnian Serb entity after they have assessed that the
situation in the Republic of Srpska is relatively stable and local
police are professionally carrying out their duties.
International workers and foreign diplomats left this Bosnian
entity prior to the NATO air strikes on Yugoslavia
(Serbia/Montenegro) fearing Bosnian Serbs could retaliate against
the Western Alliance operation.
A spokeswoman for the United Nations mission in Sarajevo, Kelly

The mission of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in
Europe (OSCE) has also resumed activities in Banja Luka.
A spokeswoman for the OSCE, Tanya Domi, said not all workers who had
previously been in Banja Luka returned to this northwestern city.
