THE HAGUE, March 26 (Hina) - Upon the beginning of NATO air strikes on Yugoslavia, The Hague-based international criminal tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has intensified security measures at the tribunal's entrance. The
control of identification papers at the entrance to the building has been intensified, and permits for using an underground parking lot are checked not only by a computer system but also by the security. The Dutch police have set up a check point in front of the ICTY building. ICTY spokesman Jim Landale refused to comment on a connection between the increased security measures and NATO air strikes, saying it was ICTY's policy not to comment on security measures.(hina) rml
