Following unsuccessful diplomatic attempts by the West to make Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic accept the Paris peace agreement, the Kosovo Albanian population are consumed with panic from a possible retaliation from Serb residents or para-military groups after NATO strikes. Tension is most vivid in Kosovo's capital, Pristina. After three Albanians were killed and three wounded in a bombing of two bars Monday night, the atmosphere has dramatically deteriorated in Pristina.
