ZAGREB, March 3 (Hina) - The president of Zagreb County Court, Miroslav Sumanovic, said in a statement that during Wednesday morning the Court had been notified by the Zagreb district prison that the health state of Dinko Sakic who is
in custody of the prison had become worse during the night between 2 and 3 March. Last night Sakic was taken to the urgent internal ward of the Rebro clinic in Zagreb. After he had medical examinations, he was released with doctors' recommendations and transferred to the hospital for detained persons. The decision on the beginning and further course of the trial, scheduled for 09.30 am Thursday, will be made by the panel of judges, presided by Judge Drazen Tripalo at 09.30 am tomorrow, depending on the complete medical documentation on grounds of which medical expert will also express their opinion. The trial of the defendant Dinko Ljubomir Sakic is to be conducted
at the Zagreb County Court. He has been accused of crimes, under the
Article 120 of Paragraph 1 of Croatia's Penal Code, the statement of
the County Court concluded.
Sakic was a former commander of the Jasenovac concentration camp
during World War Second and his indictment alleges that he
committed war crimes against civilians.
