PODGORICA, Feb 5 (Hina) - Croatia will open a general consulate in Kotor, Montenegro, by mid 1999 at the latest, the Montenegrin news agency Montena-fax quoted head of the Belgrade-based Croatian Embassy's consular department, Gordan
Bakota, as saying. According to Bakota, the consulate would most probably be opened by June 1. Before technical conditions for the opening of the consulate are created, Croatia and Yugoslavia will have to exchange notes concerning the opening of a Yugoslav consulate in Rijeka, and Croatia's consulate in Kotor, which will only be a formality, Bakota said. Meanwhile, the Croatian embassy in Yugoslavia is organising consular days in Kotor every second Saturday. (hina) rml.
