He added that, according to his knowledge, the problem of debts of
Diona (a chain of stores, part of the Globus group), threatened some
small banks and deliverers with the "domino syndrome".
Porges said Diona's total debts had reached a figure of more than
US$300,000, stressing he had read this in the newspapers.
He added his ministry felt obligated to ensure regular supplies in
Zagreb, in which Diona owns 200 stores.
