SPLIT SPLIT, Dec 13 (Hina) - The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), based in the central Croatian town of Knin, on Wednesday staged an exhibition in the national theatre (HNK) in the Adriatic city of Split on the
occasion of the 50th anniversary of the set-up of the UNHCR. The exhibition shows the sequence of events in the areas where the UNHCR has given assistance. The Knin office's head Guenther Scheske said the reason for staging this show in the Split HNK was not to give letters of thanks to UNHCR staff, although they really deserved the commendation, but the real reason were people all over the world who still needed the UN assistance. Scheske particularly stressed that nobody should forget that anybody of us could become a refugee at any moment.
