Secretary General Kofi Annan, is attended by 14 presidents, over 100 ministers and 2000 envoys from 180 countries. The United Nations Convention against organised crime was signed today, and present at the signing were Annan and Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. President Mesic is to sign the convention this afternoon. Apart from Mesic, the Croatian delegation in Palermo also includes Assistant Justice Minister Dubravko Palijas and Assistant Interior Minister Dragutin Cestar.(hina) it
