ZAGREB, Dec 5 (Hina) - Croatia's pharmaceutical company Pliva on Tuesday began implementing a pilot-project aimed at simplifying customs procedures. Pliva is the first company the Customs Administration has chosen as partner in the
project. The first truck carrying goods from abroad for Croatia on Tuesday was processed at Pliva's premises in Savski Marof instead of at the usual customs offices. Some of the advantages for Pliva under the project are faster solving of formalities at border crossings, direct transfer of goods from the border crossings to the company's premises, the possibility of the company itself to remove customs seals, etc. Subsequently, Pliva will achieve positive results in optimising reserves, its use of transport capacities and directly decrease expenses.
