HVIDR-A TO PROTEST KOSTUNICA'S ATTENDANCE AT ZAGREB SUMMIT

ZAGREB SUMMIT ZAGREB, Nov 21 (Hina) - An association of disabled Homeland Defence War veterans (HVIDR-a) has announced it will protest Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica's attendance at the Nov. 24 Zagreb Summit. HVIDR-a president Marinko Liovic told reporters on Tuesday Kostunica was not welcome in Croatia and should apologise for the aggression and crime members of the Serb people had committed against the people of Croatia. He called on members of other Homeland War associations to participate in the peaceful and dignified rally against the conference which he called the "Balkans Summit," urging them to refrain from political statements and not to yield to provocation. Liovic believes means from a European Union assistance programme will be allocated less developed countries, to Croatia's detriment. HVIDR-a protests the fact that Yugoslavia, which turned a deaf ear to international norms, and its president

HVIDR-a protests the fact that Yugoslavia, which turned a deaf ear to international norms, and its president should seek assistance in Zagreb, he said. HVIDR-a head committee chairman Ivica Perkovic said the protest was intended to elicit Kostunica's apology and a guarantee that Serb crimes against Croats would not happen again, as well as to determine war damages.
