ZAGREB POLICE DENY PERMISSION FOR PROTEST RALLY ON SUMMIT DAY ZAGREB, Nov 18 (Hina) - Zagreb police on Saturday rejected a registration submitted by the Croatian Association of Trade Unions' (HUS) for a Nov. 24 public rally in front
of Intercontinental hotel in downtown Zagreb, which is to accommodate the participants of the Zagreb Summit. HUS yesterday notified the police some 600 workers with bankrupt Zagreb-based companies would rally in front of the hotel between 08.00 and 20.00 hours on Nov. 24, the day of the Summit. HUS leaders said they would use the gathering of numerous state delegations as an opportunity to draw the international community's attention to the problems faced by Croatia's labour force.
