ZAGREB SUMMIT TO COST CROATIA'S TAX-PAYERS EUR 77,000 ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - The Zagreb Summit on Nov. 24 will cost Croatia's tax-payers some EUR77,000, which is only part of the costs as the majority will be covered by the European
Union. "Tax-payers in Croatia will pay some EUR77,000, which is rather modest considering the circumstances," Neven Madey, secretary-general of the Summit's Organising Committee, told a news conference on Monday. Declining to go into details, he said the estimate of the costs and division in payment will be established by European Union foreign ministers in Brussels today. "We have talked approximately 500,000 or 600,000 euro which should be paid by the European Union," Madey recalled, stressing the EU would definitely pay the majority of the costs. He said the entire costs would be known only after the Summit wrapped up.(hina) ha
