ZAGREB, Nov 8 (Hina) - Some 150 workers with meat industry Zagrepcanka trgovina rallied in front of the government building on Wednesday demanding salaries for September and a final solution to the grave economic situation in their
company. Mario Ivekovic, head of the Croatian Association of Trade Unions' Zagreb office, said the workers wanted the Croatian Privatisation Fund and the government, as the 100 percent owner of the company, to ensure conditions for Zagrepcanka to resume operating or, before bankruptcy, to ensure means to provide for the workers. Union representatives were received by HFP president Hrvoje Vojkovic. They demanded talking to the prime minister or one of his deputies except Slavko Linic with whom, they said, they had not been able to reach any agreement.(hina) ha
