ZAGREB, Nov 8 (Hina) - The chairman of parliament's Committee on Education, Science, and Culture, Ante Simonic, on Wednesday received Jean Richard, a Council of Europe expert researching the book market in Croatia. Croatia's book
market is very small, books are expensive, the purchasing power is poor, and very few people read books, said Simonic. Richard, invited by the Culture Ministry, is staying in Croatia until the 12th. He will compile a report which he said should focus on author and copyright protection, publishing, publishers, distribution, copyright legislation, legislation on cultural and language diversity and minorities, and translated works.(hina) ha
