BELGRADE BOOK FAIR BELGRADE, Oct 29 (Hina) - Some thirty independent publishers from Zagreb, Rijeka and Split are participating at a Book Fair in Belgrade for the first time after ten years. The Fair closes Monday. Representatives of
the Croatian publishers told Serbian media they were satisfied with the fact that they were visiting Belgrade after ten years, and positively assessed the rich publishing business in Serbia, the low price of books and great interest of readers. As part of the fair talks were held on the subject of publishing in Yugoslavia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia. Participants from the three countries stressed the need for a normalisation of relations in publishing, the establishing of a payment system and book circulation, as well as the harmonisation of laws and regulating issues of authors' rights.
