SIBENIK SIBENIK, Oct 25 (Hina) - The 33rd symposium, "Fuels 2000" started in the organisation of the Croatian association for fuels and lubricants in the southern Croatian town of Sibenik Wednesday. The seminar, which will remain open
until October 27, gathered over 230 domestic and foreign experts, and 40 scientific have been registered. According to president of the organisation committee Janko Mossa, special attention will be directed to general demands of the quality of fuels in Europe and perspectives of oil processing in Croatia. On behalf of Croatia's oil company INA, under the auspices of which the seminar is being held, management board member Zeljko Vrabanovic addressed the present. The seminar, which will remain open until October 27, gathered over
230 domestic and foreign experts, and 40 scientific have been
registered.

Croatia.

INA's refineries had positive business activities this year for the
first time, owing to the implementation of the experts'
instruction. The profit in the first nine months amounted to US$50
million. However, this year Ina is expected to lose 1.1 billion kuna
(US$166 million) because deregulation of the market has not been
implemented, Vrbanic said.
The Croatian association for fuels and lubricants has been active
for the past 36 years and has 300 members.
