The decision on the abolishing of visas for Croatian citizens must be reached by all Scandinavian countries jointly, not just Finland. One of the subjects of talks was the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe which will take place in Zagreb on November 24. Finland will at the summit be represented by President Tarja Halonen, or, Prime Minister Paavo Lipponen. Tomcic and Ousukainen stressed the important role of parliamentary democracy in the new processes in Europe's Southeast, and expressed hope for a better cooperation between the two countries' parliaments.
