ZAGREB, Oct 3 (Hina) - Croatian parliament speaker Zlatko Tomcic on Tuesday received a delegation of an association of Croats expelled from Vojvodina, a region in northern Yugoslavia. The delegation acquainted Tomcic with the
difficulties faced by 45,000 Croats unable to exchange their property. They also spoke about the Croats' position in neighbouring Yugoslavia, claiming it should be the same enjoyed by Serbs in Croatia. The parliament speaker promised assistance in settling the issue of accommodation of Croat students from Vojvodina. Tomcic applauded the association's intention to submit their suggestions to parliament's Immigration Committee. He will personally recommend that the committee discuss the position of Croats who settled in Croatia after the Homeland Defence War ended in 1995.(hina) ha jn
