ZAGREB, Sept 29 (Hina) - All of us together must get used to the fact that state institutions are using their authorities under the Constitution. President of the State has constitutional authorities for this move, as the President
and as the chief commander of the Armed Forces, Croatian National Parliament speaker Zlatko Tomcic told reporters Friday commenting on President Mesic's decision on retiring seven Croatian generals.
ZAGREB, Sept 29 (Hina) - All of us together must get used to the fact
that state institutions are using their authorities under the
Constitution. President of the State has constitutional
authorities for this move, as the President and as the chief
commander of the Armed Forces, Croatian National Parliament
speaker Zlatko Tomcic told reporters Friday commenting on
President Mesic's decision on retiring seven Croatian

This should not be interpreted in any way other than him exclusively
using his constitutional authorities, with the aim to prevent the
politicisation of the Croatian Armed Forces and to make Croatian
Armed Forces officers to act in line with regulations of their
profession, Tomcic said.
When asked whether he expected Mesic's move to cause the
radicalisation of the political scene, Tomcic said no.
The only thing I expect is a better quality of the functioning of the
legal state, Tomcic added.
When asked to comment on President Mesic's decision which is
irreversible, Tomcic said President Mesic should comment on this.
