ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - A Deputy Speaker of the Croatian national parliament and a senior official of the Croatian strongest opposition party - HDZ - Ivic Pasalic told Hina on Wednesday afternoon that documents in his stolen
briefcase were not labelled as top or official secret. Pasalic said the things in the briefcase stolen from his car on Monday evening were a copy of the Croatian Constitutional Law on cooperation with the Hague-based international tribunal (ICTY), a copy of the Tribunal's statute, a list of suspects detained in The Hague and a tabulated survey of the cases. There were also his personal notes. The Zagreb police reported today that the car of Ivic Pasalic had been broken into on Monday and his briefcase was stolen. The police today also clarified the case of the disappearance of a
car of Ivic Pasalic's brother Zdravko.
Earlier in the day the police reported that the car was stolen.
Later it was established that the car was not stolen but confiscated
by a leasing company "Pet Plus" as Zdravko Pasalic failed to pay
instalments for five months to this company which is the owner of
the vehicle, a spokesman for the Zagreb police told Hina on
Wednesday afternoon.
