ZADAR POLICE ON 3 ARRESTED FOR HIDING AHMICI WAR CRIME SUSPECTS ZADAR, Sept 13 (Hina) - Zadar police confirmed on Wednesday three persons were arrested yesterday afternoon on suspicion of hiding and helping suspects in the 1993 war crime in the central Bosnia-Herzegovina village of Ahmici, which claimed the lives of 116 civilians. A police official told reporters charges had been pressed against 42-year-old Z.S., 45-year-old G.P., and 47-year-old J.N. The Zadar County Court investigating judge ordered a one-month detention. The three residents of the central Croatian port are charged with hiding and helping suspects in the Ahmici war crime and helping them obtain identification documents. Zadar police has thus far conducted some 50 interviews, including with Zadar County Deputy Prefect Bozidar Longin, and the air base assistant commander in nearby Zemunik, Milan Odak. Charges have not been pressed against the two. The police official confirmed the suspects in the Ahmici war crime had obtained some identification documents at the Zadar Police Department. Zadar police last week apprehended and brought before the investigating judge two suspects in said crime, Ante Sliskovic and Tomislav Vlajic, who are in detention. Another two suspects, Pasko Ljubicic and Vlado Cosic are on the run. International arrest warrants were issued after them yesterday. The four suspects lived in the Zadar area under false identities.
