ZADAR TO PROBE INTO SKABRNJA ATROCITIES ZADAR, Sept 13 (Hina) - Two investigators of the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) arrived in the Zadar area (southern Croatia) on Wednesday to probe into war crimes
which Serb rebels, supported by the then Yugoslav army, committed against Croatian villagers in Skabrnja and Nadin (the Zadar hinterland) in the mid-November 1991. An official of Zadar police briefed reporters about the ICTY investigators' activities, at a regular news conference. He asked all citizens who know anything about the atrocities the Serb insurgents committed in Skabrnja and Nadin to give information either to local police or to the Hague Tribunal's investigators. According to the police representative Emil Bilic, the Hague Tribunal's investigators will interview several persons in Zadar and its surroundings, and competent police officers and local authorities will help them in their work.(h
