Firefighters and locals, assisted by three Canadairs and four towboats, were battling the blaze which burned down about 1,000 hectares of dense pine forest and agricultural areas. The fire was contained last night with extreme efforts of land firefighting forces. One family house and two uninhabited houses in Celine were damaged in the fire, while five houses in Lokva Rogoznica were caught by the fire. The fire-stricken area was evacuated at 10 pm last night. assisted by three Canadairs and four towboats, were battling the
blaze which burned down about 1,000 hectares of dense pine forest
and agricultural areas. The fire was contained last night with
extreme efforts of land firefighting forces.

Another fire, which broke out in Zrnovnica-Srinjino, has been

The fire in Seget has consumed about 1,500 hectares of underbrush
and pine forest. Battling the blaze were firemen, locals and
Croatian Army members, assisted by three Canadairs, two
helicopters and 30 vehicles.
A new fire broke out early this morning on the west side of the fire-
stricken area between the settlements of Najavi and Dograda in the
Marina municipality. The fire is battled by land forces, two
helicopters and two Canadairs.
The fire which broke out in Vucevica on August 23 has not been
contained. The blaze has consumed about 500 hectares of
underbrush.
Another fire, which broke out this morning near the settlements of
Konjsko and Koprivno, has not been contained yet. A firefighting
vehicle has been consumed by the blaze. Firefighters, assisted by
two Canadairs, are battling the blaze.
Firefighters have contained a fire which broke out in Hrvace,
consuming two hectares of pine forest.
The fire in Sutina in the Muc municipality, which has spread toward
the Zelovo settlement, has not been contained yet. It has consumed
about 400 hectares of leaf forest and underbrush.
Another fire, which broke out in the same municipality on
Wednesday, is still burning. The blaze has consumed about 10
hectares of leaf forest and underbrush.
The fire which broke out on August 20 in Slano, Dubrovnik-Neretva
County, is still active. The fire, which is spreading toward the
settlements of Doli, Smokvina and Banici, has consumed 2,500
hectares of pine forest and underbrush.
The fire which broke out on Thursday night on Mohovo Hill is
spreading toward settlements of Oresac, Stikovica, Ljubec and
Osojnik. The blaze has burned down 250 hectares of pine and oak
forest, olive-groves and underbrush.
Another fire, which broke out on Wednesday in the area of Glamoc in
neighbouring Bosnia-Herzegovina, is still burning. Firefighters
are not battling the fire because of the inaccessible area it broke
out in.
The fire which spread on August 20 from the territory of Bosnia-
Herzegovina to the area of Metkovic in Croatia has been contained.
The fire which broke out on August 18 in the village of Cetina in
Sibenik County has been brought under control. The blaze has burned
down about 200 hectares of land.
Another fire, which broke out in Ervenik, has not been contained,
but it has been brought under control. An area of two hundred
hectares has been burned down in the fire. Another fire, in
Razvodje, which has not been contained, has burned down an area of
some 2,000 hectares.
The fire in Prljev in Zadar County is still burning. Another small
fire broke out this afternoon in Donji Srb and it has burned down an
area of about two hectares.
No new fires were reported in Istria and Lika-Senj counties.
A small fire broke out this afternoon in Pasac near Rijeka in
Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. A small area has been burned down by
the fire.
