OSIJEK, Aug 18 (Hina) - President of the Association of Croatian Returnees (ZPH) Josip Kompanovic on Friday held talks with representatives of the Reconstruction and Construction Ministry in Croatia's eastern town of Osijek about
reconstruction in war-damaged areas. A total of 530 million kuna (US$63 million) have been allocated this year for the reconstruction of 2,640 homes in the country. There is also a possibility for loans to be granted for the reconstruction of another 520 homes, assistant reconstruction minister Ljudevit Herceg told reporters after the meeting. According to him, with the current dynamics, the reconstruction of homes and flats could be completed by the end of next year or the beginning of the year 2002.
