ZAGREB, June 19 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Monday received a member of the Democratic Croatian General Assembly (DEHOS), Dr. Paul Werner, a statement from the President's Office said. Mesic and Werner discussed changes
which happened in Croatia after January 3. Werner stressed that Croatia stood the chance of becoming an equal member of the European family, as well as that the announced changes should be accelerated. He also informed President Mesic about the problems Croat emigrants were encountering. Mesic agreed that some changes in Croatia were happening too slowly but emphasised Croatia was not giving up its speedy admission to the European Union, in which process healthy investments by Croat emigrants into Croatia's economy could be of special importance, the statement read.(hina) jn rml
