Today, participants in the session endorsed by acclamation
Monday's decision of the Parliamentary Assembly's standing
committee to admit Croatia's national parliament (Sabor) into the
Parliamentary Assembly, as an associate member.
Since March, Croatia had had the status of an observer in the
Assembly, and with Tuesday's decision its status was equalised with
the position of other Partnership for Peace member-countries.
Croatia will be represented to NATO's Parliamentary Assembly by the
Sabor's delegation consisting of Ivo Skrabalo, Zdravka Busic and
Zdenko Franjic. The Croatian delegation has been participating in
the Assembly's session for the first time.
