In a short statement after the talks with Mesic, Solana stressed that relations between Croatia and the EU were developing in a very positive direction. He said a meeting on the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe was held in Salonika recently, after which he held a series of talks in the region which demonstrated it was significant to continue cooperation with all countries in the region, particularly with those which have friendly relations with the EU.
