ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Friday held talks with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security Javier Solana on relations between Croatia and the European Union, the
situation in the region and the situation in the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo. In a short statement after the talks with Mesic, Solana stressed that relations between Croatia and the European union were developing in a very positive direction. He said that a meeting on the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe was held in Salonika recently, after which he held a series of talks in the region which demonstrated it was significant to continue cooperation with all countries in the region, particularly with those which have friendly relations with the European Union. In a short statement after the talks with Mesic, Solana stressed
that relations between Croatia and the European union were

Speaking about his visit to Croatia, Solana said the European Union

Solana said his visit to Croatia aimed at maintaining the level of
communications and transparency in relations between European
countries and demonstrating Europe's change in relations with
Zagreb.
