ZAGREB, June 8 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Thursday received Romanian President Emil Constantinescou with full state honour. Constantinescou arrived in Croatia for a state visit on Wednesday. The two presidents started
their official talks with a one-to-one meeting, after which they will participate in talks between the Croatian and Romanian state delegations. The two sides are expected to give statements after the talks. The two presidents will discuss the improvement of overall bilateral relations, particularly economic cooperation and cooperation possibilities in the region. The Romanian president, who before his election as Romania's president in 1996 was the Chancellor of the Bucharest University and a professor of geology, this morning held a lecture at Zagreb's Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering.(hina) mm rml
