ZAGREB, May 18 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Zeljka Antunovic on Thursday met a delegation of the Democratic Alliance of Vojvodina Croats (DSHV), headed by the Alliance's president Bela Tonkovic. According to Tonkovic, the
purpose of their visit to Zagreb was to inform the new authorities about the status and activities of the Croat minority in Vojvodina (Federal Republic of Yugoslavia's northern province). The DSHV delegation informed Antunovic about a project of cultural autonomy for Croats in Serbia and Yugoslavia, asking the Croatian government to help them wherever possible, the Government's public relations office said in a statement. The delegation of Vojvodina Croats also spoke about a series of problems the Croat community in Vojvodina was faced with, such as the visa regime, unfavourable status, economic discrimination and lack of funds for activities.
