ZAGREB, May 30 (Hina) - On the occasion of Statehood Day, Croatia's highest-ranking officials - President Stjepan Mesic, Premier Ivica Racan and Sabor President Zlatko Tomcic - on Tuesday morning placed wreaths in front of the Cross
in Croatian Defenders' Lane at the central cemetery of Mirogoj in Zagreb. A delegation of the President Mesic's Office, led by President's chief-of-staff Zeljko Dobranovic, laid a wreath at the grave of the first Croatian President, Franjo Tudjman, at Mirogoj. Wreaths in front of the Cross were laid also by a delegation of the Defence Ministry, headed by Minister Jozo Rados and the Armed Forces' headquarters chief-of-staff, General Petar Stipetic, and by Croatian War Veterans' Minister Ivica Pancic. A delegation of the Veterans' Ministry placed a wreath at a joint grave of unidentified victims from the Homeland War.(hina) ms
