CRO DEFENCE FORCES ASSOCIATIONS ANNOUNCE PROTEST

VUKOVAR, May 17 (Hina) - In order to warn about "the general criminalisation and sotonisation of all results of the Homeland War," the Alliance of Associations of Croatian Defence Forces (HOS) announced a big protest rally in Vukovar on Statehood Day, May 30. At a news conference in Vukovar on Wednesday, chairman of the HOS association alliance, Velimir Kvesic, read an announcement by the alliance, entitled "Scream from Ovcara". Primarily HOS volunteers are requesting of authorities a clearer resistance to the criminalisation of the Homeland War which, according to them, is being carried out by the international war crimes tribunal in The Hague. They are requesting an "abolition of the Law Amnesty and the Law and Decree Adjustment Act, as well as any form of Serb autonomy in the Danubian area and the annulment of anti-Croatian laws which superimpose the Serb national minority and the reconstruction of their flats". The alliance also warned about the need to "protect and spread the truth about the Homeland War, prevent Serb lies about the Homeland War and disable those calling for a renewal of Yugoslavia".
