members of the HVIDR would undermine the tourist season by blocking roads and border crossings throughout Croatia. According to a statement signed by the president of the UHDRM, retired fleet admiral Sveto Letica, the UHDRM does not deny Liovic or anyone else the right to criticise the authority for being slow in resolving soldiers' problems, however, that can be done only through democratic institutions, by legal means, and with respect for the dignity of Homeland War soldiers."
