in the Zadar hinterland, which are mined for the most part. Mrs. Montgomery said the US delegation supported the economic recovery of those areas and assistance in mine removal. It is better to give money for mine removal and economy than for artificial limbs for children who could suffer injuries if mines are not removed, she said. The US Embassy, together with the California-based association "Roots of Peace", this time donates US$200,000 for mine removal in Sibenik-Knin County and it intends to help Zadar County in the future as well, she added.(hina) rml
