ZAGREB, May 11 (Hina) - The Head Committee of the Croatian Homeland War Invalids (HVIDR) association on Thursday rejected a request to give a vote of no confidence in HVIDR president Marinko Liovic and the association's central bodies
as well as a request to hold an extraordinary election assembly. The requests were forwarded by HVIDR's branch in Vukovar-Srijem County. HVIDR's main priority is the protection of the association's unity, read a statement issued by the HVIDR Head Committee. The association calls on all competent institutions to reach an agreement with the aim of protecting the dignity of the Homeland War and the rights of Homeland War soldiers, said the statement, signed by the Committee's chairman Ivica Perkovic. soldiers prompted numerous reactions by state officials and
soldiers. Liovic withdrew his statement announcing though the
possibility of protests within the struggle for soldiers' rights.
