About 2.5 million voters who had to register will vote for 145
municipal councils and the Mostar City Council.
On electoral lists entered by 68 political parties and seven
coalitions are the names of 21,000 candidates, 18 independent.
This year's municipal elections in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the fourth
since the signing of the Dayton Agreement, is being carried out by
the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE)
Mission to the country, and some DM20 million have been set aside
for their implementation from OSCE funds.
The polling stations and the counting process will be supervised by
almost 6,600 citizens and international observers, including 750
supervisors.
The first preliminary results may be expected on April 10.
