ZAGREB, March 24 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Presidency on Friday stated that due to intraparty elections and preparations for the fifth general convention, activities which are not within the party statute, such as
the announced establishment of a Club of HDZ Founders, do not contribute to the unity and consolidation of the party. The Presidency therefore calls for unity, participation in intraparty elections, and operation within the HDZ Statute. "The Fifth General Convention is a body set by the Statute and it will give the best answer to all challenges of our party's future; at the convention, the new HDZ Statute and Programme will be adopted and new central bodies of the party will be elected," said the statement, signed by the acting party president Vladimir Seks.
