MOSTAR MUNICIPALITY SOUTH-WEST TENDERS RESIGNATION MOSTAR, Mar 7 (Hina) - The head of Mostar's Croat-dominated municipality of South-West, Ivica Rozic, tendered his resignation on Tuesday. In a letter accompanying the resignation,
Rozic explained that he could not perform his duties and implement laws under the pressure of the international community, especially as regards objective circumstances in Mostar. Rozic explained that officials with the Office of the High Representative and OSCE had asked him at a meeting on March 3 "to implement property laws according to the dynamics dictated by them". According to Rozic, he was threatened with criminal prosecution unless he obeyed their requests. Rozic was appointed head of South-West municipality on February 9 this year instead of Stipe Maric, who was one among 22 BH officials replaced by High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch late last year.(hina) mm rml
