TWO RENOVATED CROATIAN-BOSNIAN BORDER CROSSINGS OPENED

DUBROVNIK, Dec 17 (Hina) - Two renovated Croatian-Bosnian border crossings were opened in southern Croatia's Dubrovnik-Neretva County on Monday. The Klek and Zaton-Doli crossings were opened by prefect Ivan Sprlje. In attendance were the head of the Croatian Customs Management, Anton Uljar, and Bosnian representatives. The works, worth ten million kuna (approx. US$1.23 million), were financed by the Croatian Finance Ministry. The Dubrovnik Littoral Municipal Council on Sunday objected to the location of the Zaton-Doli crossing, which is five km inside of Croatia's state territory. Commenting on a protest staged by the Council, prefect Sprlje said the crossing had been located there the past ten years and would be relocated if the economy experienced a boom. Sprlje announced a Croatian-Montenegrin border crossing at Debeli Brijeg would be renovated next year, with an investment of 20 million kuna (approx. US$2.46
