LJUBLJANA, Dec 3 (Hina) - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek said on Monday he expected the Croatian parliament would ratify a contested Croatia-Slovenia draft border deal. "Slovenia has done its share and it would be difficult to
expect of it to consent to new negotiations," Drnovsek told reporters in Ljubljana. As for Croatia's position that the two governments should resume negotiations on the border, expressed during Slovene President Milan Kucan's recent visit to Zagreb, Drnovsek said there were no guarantees that possible changes in the deal might make it acceptable to Croatia. Drnovsek commended the two countries' relations in line with agreements reached with Croatian PM Ivica Racan earlier this year.(hina) ha sb
