ZAGREB, Nov 28 (Hina) - Croatian War Veterans Minister Ivica Pancic signed ten contracts on the employment and self-employment of 31 Croatian soldiers on Wednesday. The ministry will pay each company employing the soldiers a onetime
amount of 15,000 kuna per soldier. Pancic reminded that the ministry had started its campaign of employment and professional training of soldiers and the children of killed, deceased, imprisoned or missing Croatian soldiers a year ago. The ministry will continue contributing to decreasing the number of unemployed soldiers, which currently stands at 34,000, Pancic said. He said around 2.6 million kuna had been invested this year in the professional training of soldiers, and the proposed budgetary funds for the employment of soldiers in 2002 amounted to 20 million kuna. Together with transfers from the Employment Bureau, employment funds will total 24 million kuna, he said.(
