BODIES OF 15 CROATIAN SOLDIERS AND CIVILIANS IDENTIFIED

ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - Family members have identified the remains of 15 Croatian soldiers and civilians exhumed from mass graves in Lovas, Vukovar, Banovina and Kupres and the Forensic Laboratory in Zagreb. Additional DNA analysis was asked for two more bodies. Croatia still has 1,418 civilians missing, and out of the 3,299 soldiers and civilians exhumed, 2,667 have been identified. The bodies of 632 soldiers and civilians exhumed mostly from 130 mass graves and individual graves in Osijek-Baranja, Vukovar- Srijem, Sisak-Moslavina and Lika-Senj counties have yet to be identified, while some remains were taken over from Bosnia- Herzegovina. Head of the Croatian government's office for missing persons, Ivan Grujic, recalled that the remains of soldiers and civilians exhumed in Vukovar and Lovas would be performed on Tuesday. The victims were employees of the Borovo Commerce company, and soldiers from Banovina and Kupres. He said that cooperation with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Yugoslavia was necessary for the search of the 1,418 still missing people, because it is presumed that about 300 Croatian soldiers and civilians are on Yugoslav territory and about 80 on Bosnian.
