ZAGREB/JERUSALEM, Oct 31 (Hina) - The Simon Wiesenthal Centre in Jerusalem has welcomed the speech Croatian President Stjepan Mesic delivered in the Israeli parliament on Wednesday in which he expressed regret for the crimes Ustasha
soldiers committed against Jews in Croatia during World War II, the Centre said in a statement. The Centre recalls that during his Monday meeting with Mesic, the Centre director submitted evidence against two Croatian Nazi war criminals now living in Argentina, and expressed hope investigations against the former governor of Dubrovnik, Ivo Rojnica, and a high Ustasha official, Mirko Eterovic, would be expedited after Mesic's visit to Israel.(hina) sb rml
