SIBENIK, Oct 30 (Hina) - A reconstruction of the murder of 16 Serb civilians in a Sibenik County Court retrial of six former Croatian army members started in the southern villages of Gosici and Varivode on Tuesday. The reconstruction
was ordered by the Supreme Court in a decision on a retrial and the annulment of a previous acquittal of the six indictees. The six had been already tried for the murder of the Serb civilians in Varivode and Gosici at the Zadar County Court in 1996 and were acquitted then, but the Supreme Court quashed the verdict saying the indictment was not specific enough with regard to individual acts and ordered a retrial, which started in February this year. Following the reconstruction, the indictees will be questioned.(hina) rml
