GNJILANE, Oct 17 (Hina) - An international trial chamber in the court in the Kosovo town of Gnjilane on Wednesday sentenced 10 Albanian indictees to a total of 35 years and seven months in prison. They were tried on charges of illegal
possession of arms and explosive devices and the illegal movement over the border. Another two indictees were let walk free because of a lack of evidence . The convicts were born in Macedonia, and some of them lived in a few Kosovo towns. They were caught by international peace-keepers (KFOR) illegally entering Kosovo. There are three women among the sentenced persons, and they received high sentences of four years and six months each. One of defence lawyers, Masar Morina, said the sentences were too tough, and claimed that the trial chamber did not posses valid and reliable evidence for passing such a ruling.(hina) ms
