BELGRADE, Oct 23 (Hina) - The head of the World Bank Office in Belgrade, Elaine Petterson, on Tuesday night dismissed claims that the bank has withdrawn its financial assistance to Yugoslavia because of disputes within the ruling
coalition DOS. A DOS senior official, Velimir Ilic, told a news conference today that the World Bank had written to the leaders of the ruling coalition, informing them about withdrawing every further assistance because of disputes within the DOS and unresolved issues between Belgrade and Podgorica. The World Bank has not ceased financial assistance to Yugoslavia, and we are fact trying to increase and accelerate it, Petterson stressed. (hina) lml
