BELGRADE, Sept 27 (Hina) - Yugoslavia's deputy prime minister has accused "certain forces in the country" of obstructing foreign assistance and donations. Miroljub Labus' statement came in the wake of a decision both houses of
parliament made on Thursday to put off the agenda a bill on a EUR300 million European Union loan and several other bills in connection with foreign assistance. "It's absurd, first I'm assuring people in the world we need help and then at home I'm assuring people to receive the money," Labus told reporters in parliament. He said a $28 million World Bank loan could have been realised if there had not been obstruction. Moreover, as a result of recent terrorist attacks in the United States, Yugoslavia will suffer a $500 million loss due to slowed investments.(hina) ha
