ZAGREB, Oct 19 (Hina) - The US medical corporation Baxter issued a statement on Thursday evening dismissing information released by the Croatian Health Ministry and carried by Hina, and said reports on two suspicious deaths linked
with the use of Baxter products in Estonia had not been confirmed. A Baxter spokesman, Frank Butschbacher, said Baxter contacted the hemodialysis centre in Estonia using Baxter dialysers and received assurances no deaths connected with the Baxter product had been reported. The Croatian Health Ministry yesterday confirmed having received information on two suspicious deaths of patients undergoing treatment with Baxter dialysers in Texas and two more suspicious deaths in Estonia.(hina) rml
