ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday decided to give one-off cash grants of 10,000 kuna (approximately 1200 US dollars) to each family of 21 kidney patients, who died during or after treatment in several
haemodialisis centres in Croatia last week. We are aware that this assistance as well as other kinds of help which will ensue later cannot compensate the losses of those families, Premier Ivica Racan said at the government's session. He announced that his cabinet would receive reports about this tragedy until the end of this week and discuss them later next week. The reports should shed more light on all the circumstances relating to the tragic death of those patients, and then the government can conclude who should be held responsible, Racan added.(hina) ms
