DUBROVNIK DUBROVNIK, Sept 29 (Hina) - A two-day European University Association (EUA) meeting attended by 140 university chancellors from 40 countries ended in Dubrovnik Saturday. This was the second such meeting for the 560-member
EUA, which was founded through the merger of two similar organisations. The main subjects of discussion were education of researchers and protection of intellectual knowledge. "Universities represent the nucleus of expert knowledge, which is often not used in practice," the host, Zagreb University chancellor, Dr. Branko Jeren said. European chancellors also attended the EUA Board meeting, where the EUA plan of action for the next two years was discussed.(hina) js
